Building Engineer – Fourth Class Ticket
Our client, a progressive commercial real estate investor and developer located in downtown Vancouver, is seeking a Building Engineer for Vancouver's newest and largest tower.

As Building Engineer, this position will oversee the general operation and mechanical systems associated with a large new building consisting of Hotel, Residential and commercial. Reporting to the Commercial Property Manager, this job encompasses a variety of duties.

General Duties include:
• Reporting to Commercial Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor on all operational matters
• Supervising Maintenance and Janitorial Staff and monitoring Security personnel
• Overseeing the main property’s mechanical systems (DDC, Geothermal Plant, Heat Pumps, Fire Panel / Sprinklers, etc.) and working in cooperation with the Hotel Operation
• Supervising and coordinating all contracted services (except Hotel & Strata)
• Repairing and maintaining building facilities and equipment on a scheduled basis and monitoring problem areas. Reviewing major work with Commercial Property Manager prior to ordering remedial work. Following the maintenance program on scheduled inspections and servicing of all mechanical systems and building components, to ensure uninterrupted services. Maintaining required equipment records
• Obtaining quotes from contractors, as directed by Commercial Property Manager, and follow through with repairs
• Ensuring all safety and security systems are operating, inspected and repaired as per recommended or required frequency
• Ensuring emergency systems or procedures are operated and maintained as required by government regulations (e.g. emergency generator, emergency lighting, sprinklers, elevator communication, swingstage, evacuation, etc.)
• Submitting monthly Status Reports and Scheduled Maintenance Reports to the Commercial Property Manager & Maintenance Supervisor
• Recording all Building Deficiencies found or reported and submit to Commercial Property Manager and following up with Construction Company on completion
• Completing and submitting incident reports as required
• On-call by phone & pager for after-hours emergencies and coordinating if necessary
• This list sets out the basic duties required by the Chief Building Engineer to complete. Other standard duties, which are expected of a Chief Building Engineer, will also be required to be completed. Additional duties may be added or changed from time to time as required.
• A 4th Class Engineer's Ticket is MANDITORY for this position.

Assist. Resident Manager – 290 suite rental complex – Victoria
An Assistant Resident Manager is required for a large 290 suite adult rental complex located in Victoria.

Applicants must be capable of (but not limited to)

• Suite renting
• Check ins/outs
• Eviction Notices
• Minor maintenance skills
• Common area cleaning (The complex does have full-time cleaners)
• Liaison with trades
• Good people skills

*This is a no pet complex.


*The position offers a salary of $2300/month plus a free two bedroom suite (taxable benefit). The company will also pay the employees Medical Service Plan premiums. There is a rotation of days off with the Assistant Manager having every second weekend off.

A Resident Manager couple are required for a 50 suite rental building located in Campbell River. This position is suitable for a couple where one person is employed elsewhere but is able to assist when necessary.
